Transfer of Ownership Application Form

A successful contract, ‘to take on the collection’, will only be completed when the donor and the team are satisfied that the following actions have been taken:

The completion of the CONTACT FORM by the donor

A visit is made by the team to inspect the collection

The donor agrees with the conditions of the transfer of ownership as detailed here and discussed with the team.

Transfer of Ownership Form

By signing here, the collection donor 

agrees to transfer collection ownership to the team on the understanding that:

 

  1. The team take on the responsibility for its future use, including –
    • Potential donations to museums
    • Use in handling collections
    • The sale of inferior quality material at public events or on the internet
    • Very poor quality material can be disposed of
  1. No collections can be purchased
  2. No parts of the collection can be returned once the agreement for donation has been signed.
  3. Collection catalogues/registers are transferred with the collection if they exist as well as other related documentation
  4. All future donations will be made available for future research and publication
  5. All funds raised through the sale of objects from the collection will be donated to support the work of Somerset Earth Science Centre.
